Mustang League - GBA In-House
This is developmental league, within the GBA "In-House" Program with an introduction to competitive baseball with emphasis on skill development and good sportsmanship. The players are introduced to pitching at this level. During the first three weeks of the season, pitching will be considered instructional. After the instructional period, umpires will be at games to call balls and strikes. Base stealing is not allowed at this level.

Starting June 22, teams will play a 2 game pool play to determine seeding for the championship game.

When
Spring Season typically starts the week after spring break and runs through the end of June.
Fall season starts the middle to end of August and runs through middle of October.
Where
Practices and home games are held at various fields in Geneva including Peck, Mill Creek, Sam Hill (South Street), Sunset and Forni.
In the Fall league, we are sometimes part of the Fox Valley Baseball League which would result in Away games in towns like St. Charles and Batavia.
Practices
Practices are typically held once per week but more practices can be scheduled by coaches as schedules and field availability permit.
Games
Teams may play up to 20 games (including the year end tournament) with games starting in late April concluding prior to the July 4th holiday.
Games will be six inning game with a maximum run limit of 4 runs for the first 4 innings. There is no run limit in the 5th and 6th innings. Pitching dimensions are 42 feet, with bases 60 feet apart. Scores are kept but not reported. Standings are also not maintained.
Uniforms/Equipment
GBA provides each player with a hat, jersey, pants and socks in the Spring and typically just a hat and jersey in the Fall.. There are also helmets available at each practice and game, however most players have their own due to hygiene concerns.
GBA also provides catcher equipment for each team.
EXTRA COSTS
The equipment that you will need to get: Glove, Cleats (rubber), and Athletic Cup (boy players). Optional equipment are Bat, Batting Helmet and Carry Bag.
