Rookie 7

Minor 8
This is developmental league with an introduction to competitive baseball with emphasis on skill development and good sportsmanship. The player's are introduced to pitching at this level. During the first four weeks of the season, pitching will be considered instructional. After the instructional period, umpires will be at games to call balls and strikes. Stealing is not allowed at this level. Games will be six inning with a maximum run limit of 5 runs for the first 5 half innings. There is no run limit in the 6th inning. Pitching dimensions are 42 feet, with bases 60 feet apart. Scores are kept but not reported. Standings are also not maintained. Practices start in early April and games start around the last Saturday in April. There is a tournament scheduled at the end of the season. Minor 9
This is a competitive league with emphasis on full skill development and good sportsmanship. Stealing is not allowed until the 4th Saturday of the season. Players are restricted to no lead offs and are not allowed to steal home. There will be no advancement of runners due to overthrows. We play a six inning game with a run maximum for the first 5 innings, 5 runs per half inning, to encourage all players to pitch. Pitching dimensions are 44’, with 60’ bases. Scores are kept but not reported. Standings are also not maintained. Practices start in early April and games start around the last Saturday in April. There is a random draw double elimination tournament scheduled at the end of the season. Goal is to complete the tournament and season before the July 4th break. This is a competitive league with emphasis on full skill development and good sportsmanship. The Major League follows the general rules published by the Major League Baseball and Pony League Baseball, Inc. In Addition, regular base running rules apply including stealing and lead offs. We play seven inning games. Pitching dimensions are 48’ with 70’ bases. There is an in-house tournament and all-star game scheduled at the end of the season.
